Southside Hope

South Side Hope is a non-profit community development corporation that seeks to embrace the community, enhance the environment, and enlighten the Spirit of individuals in our surrounding community.
Our neighborhood and surrounding area is ripe with opportunity. Marion-Franklin was founded in the 1960's by proud people who lived, worked, and raised their families in the area. Over the years, home ownership has been replaced by investment property owners, vacant bank-owned properties, and short-term renters. There are abandoned houses throughout the area and property that is occupied, but in need of repair.

Many young families desire the stability of home ownership, but may think buying a home is out of reach. South Side Hope helps stabilize the neighborhood by increasing opportunities for home ownership, reducing vacant and abandoned properties, and promoting long-term tenants and residency in Far South Columbus. South Side Hope is an advocate for affordable, safe homes and rentals for families, senior citizens and veterans. We partner with local businesses, government agencies and other non-profits to sponsor revitalization projects, home buyer workshops, and classes on tenants' rights.
